Close Encounters of the Tasha Kind

When we last saw our furry friend
she had just spotted the innocent Hannah,
and bolted so fast to reach her,
she yanked the leash right outta H’s hand. . .

In the heat of the moment,
a terrified Hannah barricaded herself
under her owner’s feetsies

But because Tasha screeched to a halt
and just kept staring, fascinated. . .
Hannah must’ve sensed there was no danger. . .

And then, the most remarkable thing happened. . .

Shaken, and just a bit stirred . . .

The next day, Tasha was back at it. . .

Who else can I fakily terrify??  Bwah-ha-haha-ahahahah

So many furry foes, so little time. . .

One day, possibly the most fascinating of all encounters took place. . . .

When I turned around I saw Tasha leaping up
on all fours and bouncing backwards in the grass,
two or three times.
It was the funniest sight I’d ever seen. . .

And it was all cause of this little walking helmet
who’d spooked her in the grass . . .

T and her shadow watch as the little turtle
scrabbles across the road with impressive sang-froid. . .

Courageous is as courageous does. . .
